Vauxhall Queens crowned 1A Girls Provincial Volleyball Champions

The Vauxhall Queens volleyball team showcased their dominance last weekend in Bonnyville, capturing the 1A Girls Provincial Championship with an impressive performance.

The Queens were unstoppable in round-robin play, sweeping all their matches without dropping a single set. They claimed victories over École des Beaux Lacs (Bonnyville), St. Jerome (Vermilion), and Daysland.

In the quarterfinals, Vauxhall overwhelmed Two Hills with commanding set scores of 25-9 and 25-13. The semifinals saw a rematch with the host team, École des Beaux Lacs, where the Queens secured another straight-set victory, 25-16 and 25-20.

The championship match against Daysland was a thrilling encounter, but Vauxhall held their nerve to clinch the title with identical set scores of 25-20 and 25-20.

This Provincial Championship win was the perfect finale to an extraordinary season for the Queens, who dominated throughout, winning nine tournaments and boasting an incredible overall record of 64-1-1.
