With pre-season tournaments and tryouts still underway, two Taber Golden Suns teams have set their lineups for the coming season.
U11
The inaugural season for the U11 Golden Suns is fast approaching and this past weekend saw head coach Braden Dyck and his staff announce this year’s roster. The 17 players named include:

This year, all Golden Suns teams will compete in the Alberta Elite Hockey League (AEHL). The U11s are in the South Yellow Conference with the Brooks Jr. Bandits, Foothills Bisons, Lethbridge Hurricanes, Medicine Hat Hounds, Okotoks Oilers, and Wheatland Chiefs.
The U11 Golden Suns kick off the regular season with a home date against the Central Alberta Selects on October. 19 at 12:15 p.m. The following day, they hit the road to Medicine Hat to take on the Hounds at 12:15 p.m.
U13
Likewise, the U13 Golden Suns also announced their roster for the 2024-25 AEHL season this past weekend. This year’s roster features:

The U13 Suns will play in the South Division alongside the Medicine Hat Hounds, Wheatland Braves, East Kootenay Avalanche, Lethbridge Hurricanes, Okotoks Oilers, and the Foothills Bisons.
The U13s see their season begin at home on Oct. 5 when they take on the Bow Valley Timberwolves at 2:45 p.m.
U15
The U15 Golden Suns have yet to announce a final roster but they’re gearing up for their home opener on Oct. 5 when the Okotoks Oilers come to town. Puck drop is set for 5:15 p.m. at the Taber Arena. This year, the Suns find themselves in the AEHL’s South Division with the Lethbridge Hurricanes, East Kootenay Avalanche, Okotoks Oilers, Foothills Bisons, SEAC Tigers, and Wheatland Warriors.
U18
The final roster for the U18s is also not set as of yet as tryouts continue. The U18s are also in the South Division with the East Kootenay Avalanche, Foothills Bisons, Lethbridge Hurricanes, Medicine Hat Hounds, Okotoks Oilers, and Wheatland Chiefs.
Opening weekend for the U18s comes on Oct. 5 and Oct. 6 when they welcome in the Olds Grizzlys on Saturday night. Puck drop at the Taber Arena goes at 8 p.m. The following day, the team is on the road to Calgary to take on CNHA Black for a 1:45 p.m. game.
