It was a two-game weekend for the U11 Vauxhall Sabres as the team played in their final games of the month. Saturday afternoon saw Brooks come to town and the two teams were able to score tons of goals. Thanks to a big five-goal third period, the Sabres were able to secure a 9-7 win on home ice.
Jackson Wiest had a hat trick and also collected three assists, while Levi Van Der Hoek scored a single goal and had three assists, Holden Emelson had a hat trick, Quaid Finlayson and Cameron Wolfe each found the back of the net, and Jacob Wamsteeker chipped in with an assist. Chance Crowson got the start between the pipes and the netminder made 24 saves on 31 shots.
On Sunday morning, the Sabres departed to Duchess for an 8:15 a.m. game. The home team was able to fill the net en route to a 14-4 win. The Sabres saw Peyton Honess score two goals while Emelson and Wolfe had the others. Finlayson and Van Der Hoek each had an assist. Crowson was back in net, making 14 saves on 28 shots.
