The U11 Vauxhall Sabres were back on the ice this past weekend as they were hoping to bounce back in the T3 Blue consolation round.
With another pair of games on tap for the Sabres, the squad saw a home and home with the Raymond Knights as both teams battled to get to the next round. Game 1 went this past Saturday in Raymond and both teams saw their offence explode for tons of goals. After back and forth scoring throughout the game, the home team would edge out Vauxhall 8-7 to take Game 1. Cole Bouchard had a hat trick for the Sabres, Jhett Stober had two goals and an assist, Grayson Honess had a goal and an assist, Lincoln Deleeuw had a single goal, and Oakley Wall had an assist. Gavin Bilsky was in net for the Sabres and the netminder made 16 saves on 24 shots.
