Anna Klassen couldn’t wait any longer to meet her brothers and sisters.
Vauxhall’s New Year’s Baby was born on New Year’s Day, on Jan. 1, at approximately 2:03 p.m. at the Taber Health Centre.
“It was an earlier birth. It was about two to three weeks early,” said proud father Johan. “It was a nice surprise to start the New Year.”
The Klassen family was home, getting ready to go to sleep when the first harder contractions started to hit Johan’s wife Sara.
“The contractions were hitting all night and when we made our way to the hospital, where they induced here at about 12 o’clock and then it happened pretty quick in two hours or so, and she was born,” said Johan.
Anna makes her way to a family unit featuring two sisters and one brother.
“It’s not as nerve wracking as soon as you have one or two. The kids were really excited, especially our youngest one,” said Johan.
Anna Klassen weighed in at 3.3 kilograms (7.28 pounds).
