The Vauxhall Cemetery Committee hosted the Vauxhall Cemetery Clean-up on May 16 after school. Taber New Ewe Multi 4-H Club members, parents and leader volunteered in the cold wind, for their community service.
We have been very thankful to the surrounding district 4-H clubs since May 2011 when the first clean-up was initiated by the Committee. The Taber and District 4-H Show and Sale will be held June 7, come out to the Taber Agri-Plex and support these young kids in their projects.
A special thank you is also extended to Karen Phillips for all the diligent care she offers in fertilizing the trees, watering and pruning when needed.
Thank you is also is extended to Warren Porter Agencies for supplying the water and chocolate bars for the event and to Vauxhall Cemetery Committee for supplying the pizzas for all the hard work. Lunch was enjoyed by all.
The Vauxhall Cemetery Committee also notes that two long-standing members passed away this past year, husband and wife, David and Joan Snaith, as well as well wishes sent to Leona Wright, hope you’re feeling better. We missed your expertise and advice at the clean-up.
