APP poor substitute for CPP

I wonder who Marg VanderSpruit thinks she’s fooling? It isn’t anyone in our circle of friends. We know four million people can’t provide what 40 million can to a pension plan that so many seniors rely on. Especially when Alberta has the most unstable economy in Canada due to our up and down oil industry. During the last oil crash in 2014 we had 183,000 Albertans unemployed who weren’t paying into the Canada Pension Plan and we still have the fourth highest unemployment rate in Canada. This lie being fed by these Reformers that Albertans don’t receive as much as they are paying into it isn’t true when you consider how many Albertans, including family members, who have retired to B.C. and other provinces including members of the oil industry who upon retirement moved back to their home provinces to be near their families. Are they being considered in this amount? That Marg is believing? We know we are receiving far more than we ever put into it and certainly don’t want that destroyed and don’t trust Danielle Smith not to, do you?
