Canada should continue to attract highly educated immigrants. That presupposes they are educated in their home countries as children. Our government has committed itself to building a world where every young person grows up with access to proper nutrition, health care, and quality education. The reality is that Canada has instead ended key schooling programs. We need to reinvest in the Charlevoix Education Initiative to ensure that children around the world can access education and have the opportunity to gain basic skills to forge a new future, hopefully here in Canada.
