NDP: Is Prentice coming clean on a new $6.6 billion health cut?

Posted on May 1, 2015 by Vauxhall Advance

The PC campaign, desperate to save a floundering government, issued a series of
tables today purporting to show that the NDP platform under-estimates the cost of
its commitments, including $6.6 billion in health care alone.
There is absolutely no basis for any of these claims.
Let’s take a closer look at what the PCs are saying about health care:
* The Prentice budget cuts health care by $1.1 billion and then proposes to hold
the health budget flat.
* The NDP proposes to restore these cuts, and then to maintain its restoration in
future years, gradually increasing investment in health care.
If the PCs believe the NDP is “underestimating” this cost by $6.6 billion, then
they are telling Albertans they are planning to cut health by $6.6 billion more
than they claimed in their budget.
Are the PCs coming clean on a plan to cut health care by $6.6 billion more than
Mr. Prentice said?
